DISCLAIMER
This post is based solely on a press note issued by TG SAFE on 31 October 2026, as reported by The South First. All findings, violations and actions mentioned are those stated by the authority, not our own allegations. A licence suspension or show-cause notice is an administrative action, not a final verdict or finding of guilt. The establishments named have the right to respond, and further action by the authority is pending. Establishments served notices were not reported to have specific violations. Aware With Us does not target any brand, business, this information is only for public awareness and information.

I always told my kids to trust big restaurants over roadside stalls. Today, I’m questioning that advice!

My logic was simple. Expensive hotels and established brands should offer better food quality and hygiene.

Then I read about Taj Falaknuma Palace, one of Hyderabad’s most expensive hotels, receiving a food safety show-cause notice!

Telangana’s latest inspections revealed:

→ 22 establishments inspected

→ 14 food licences suspended

→ 8 show-cause notices, including Taj Falaknuma

→ 544 kg of food deemed unfit for consumption discarded

→ Pest infestations, expired food and poor storage reported

I’m glad the authorities are conducting these checks. But it’s worrying that even premium establishments are facing questions over food safety.

Paying more doesn’t necessarily mean eating safer!

Maybe the most trustworthy kitchen is still the one just 10 feet away from our dining table. Our own home!

What do you think? Do you trust big restaurant brands more than smaller outlets?
