Every soul will taste death

كُلُّ نَفۡسٖ ذَآئِقَةُ ٱلۡمَوۡتِۗ وَإِنَّمَا تُوَفَّوۡنَ أُجُورَكُمۡ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِۖ فَمَن زُحۡزِحَ عَنِ

 ٱلنَّارِ وَأُدۡخِلَ ٱلۡجَنَّةَ فَقَدۡ فَازَۗ وَمَا ٱلۡحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنۡيَآ إِلَّا مَتَٰعُ ٱلۡغُرُورِ

ہر جان موت کا مزه چکھنے والی ہے اور قیامت کے دن تم اپنے بدلے پورے پورے دیئے جاؤ گے، پس جو شخص آگ سے ہٹا دیا جائے اور جنت میں داخل کر دیا جائے بے شک وه کامیاب ہوگیا، اور دنیا کی زندگی تو صرف دھوکے کی جنس ہے

(3:185) Everyone is bound to taste death and you shall receive your full reward on the Day of Resurrection. Then, whoever is spared the Fire and is admitted to Paradise has indeed been successful. The life of this world is merely an illusory enjoyment.[130] surah aal imran

“Every soul will taste death,” 
signifying the universal reality of mortality. 

Surah Al Imran, verse 185, states that every soul will taste death and receive its full reward on the Day of Resurrection. It emphasizes that success is achieving paradise after being spared from the Hellfire, while the life of this world is described as nothing more than a fleeting, illusory enjoyment.  

  • “Every soul will taste death,” signifying the universal reality of mortality. 
  • “And you will only be given your [full] compensation on the Day of Resurrection.” This points to the Day of Judgment as the time when all deeds will be fully accounted for. 
  • “So he who is drawn away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise has attained [his desire].” This highlights the ultimate success and goal of believers: entering paradise. 
  • “And what is the life of this world except the enjoyment of delusion.” This contrasts the temporary pleasures of this life with the eternal reality of the hereafter, describing worldly enjoyment as a deception.
