In a major anti-encroachment drive, HYDRAA on Tuesday protected and fenced **five acres of government land** in **Khanamet village, Serilingampally Mandal**, preventing an alleged land grab in one of Hyderabad’s most valuable IT corridor zones.

The land, located in **Survey No. 42** along the stretch connecting **Metal Charminar and HITEX Exhibition Centre**, is estimated to be worth nearly **₹1,000 crore**.

According to officials, encroachers had erected temporary sheds, constructed a room, and begun fencing the property with metal sheets in an alleged attempt to claim ownership. Acting on a complaint from Revenue authorities, HYDRAA demolished the unauthorized structures and cleared the encroachments.

Following the operation, HYDRAA installed protective fencing around the entire property and erected signboards identifying it as government land.

Officials said the action was taken to safeguard valuable public property and prevent further encroachment attempts.
