how jin goes into the body of man or women?

According to Islamic belief and folklore, jinn can enter the body of a man or woman

through openings like the mouth or nose when a person is in a state of weakness or vulnerability. This can be a response to being harmed by a human, falling in love, or using witchcraft. Once a jinn enters, they can influence the person’s mind and body.

States of vulnerability

People are believed to be most susceptible to a jinn’s entry when their guard is down, particularly during certain emotional or physical states:

  • Extreme anger: Loss of temper is believed to create an opening for a jinn to enter. A hadith from the Prophet Muhammad suggests sitting or lying down when angry to change the jinn’s position inside the body.
  • Excessive fear: When someone is extremely frightened, their vulnerability increases, making it easier for a jinn to take control.
  • Negligence or heedlessness: A lack of mindfulness, especially forgetting to say “Bismillah” (in the name of God) before doing things like entering a bathroom or undressing, removes a spiritual barrier that protects against jinn.
  • Intense desire: Being completely engrossed in illicit desires or lustful thoughts can also make a person vulnerable to jinn possession.

Reasons for a jinn to enter

A jinn may choose to enter a human’s body for several reasons:

  • Revenge: If a person unintentionally harms a jinn or its family, the jinn may seek vengeance by possessing them. Harm can be caused by actions like pouring boiling water on the ground without warning or urinating in a place where jinn reside.
  • Love or lust: A jinn can fall in love with a human, which can lead to possession. This is often described as a lustful desire and is a common explanation for a jinn attaching itself to a human, particularly women.
  • Witchcraft (Sihr): A human sorcerer can send a jinn to attack or possess another person to cause harm.
  • Mischief: Some mischievous jinn, much like “dimwitted humans,” may possess a person simply for amusement.

Effects of jinn possession

Once inside, a jinn is believed to exert control over the body, leading to various physical and mental ailments. These symptoms are often culturally interpreted as possession and may include:

  • Speaking in an unknown language
  • Having physical seizures or unexplained pain
  • Experiencing emotional volatility, such as being quick to anger
  • Social withdrawal or isolation
  • A strong aversion to hearing the Qur’an or Islamic calls to prayer
