SALAH GUIDE

Complete Step-by-Step Guide to Performing Salah (Prayer)
Salah is one of the five pillars of Islam and a direct form of worship between a believer and Allah. It brings peace to the heart, discipline to life, and strengthens faith. Below is a simple and clear step-by-step guide to performing Salah correctly:
Niyyah (Intention):
Make a sincere intention in your heart to pray Salah for the sake of Allah.
Takbeer:
Raise both hands up to your ears and say “Allahu Akbar” to begin the prayer.
Al-Qiyaam (Standing):
Stand straight and recite Surah Al-Fatiha, followed by any other Surah or verses from the Qur’an.
Rukku (Bowing):
Bend forward with hands on knees and recite “Subhana Rabbi Al-Adheem” three times.
Standing after Rukku:
Return to the standing position and say “Sami Allahu liman hamidah”.
Sajdah (Prostration):
Go down into prostration and recite “Subhana Rabbi Al-A‘la” three times.
Sitting between Sajdahs:
Sit briefly and recite “Rabbi ighfir li” three times.
Second Sajdah:
Perform the second prostration and again recite “Subhana Rabbi Al-A‘la” three times.
At-Tashahhud (Sitting):
Sit and recite At-Tahiyyat, along with Salat upon the Prophet ﷺ and supplications.
Tasleem:
Turn your head to the right and say “As-salamu alaikum wa rahmatullah”, then to the left to complete the Salah.
Salah is not just a ritual but a source of spiritual connection, inner peace, and guidance. Performing it with concentration and sincerity brings immense reward and closeness to Allah.
