BJP Minority Morcha leader Nazia Elahi Khan on Tuesday defended her actions in the recent Lenskart store controversy, saying she was “proud” of confronting staff over alleged restrictions on Hindu religious symbols.
Speaking to Nabila Jamal on CNN-News18, Khan said, “We can’t accept dictatorship,” questioning why hijab and namaz were allowed while kalava and tilak were not. She also claimed receiving threats from a Pakistan-based terror group following the incident.
The remarks come just days after a video showed Khan entering a Mumbai store and applying tilak on employees, sparking widespread debate.
